Ok, I’ll admit, I don’t really get the whole text messaging phenomenon. If I want to talk to somebody or ask them a question, I’ll just call them! Over 90% of my phone calls consist of 30 second conversations that go like this:

Friend: Hey Goob, what’s up?
Goob: Hey mate, got a quick question. You know what time we need to show up at Bob’s tomorrow night?
Friend: Yeah, be there around 6.
Goob: Great, thanks, take it easy.
Friend: Peace.

I don’t care how fast you type on a phone, you can’t beat that in terms of time spent! But whatever, I digress. I’ve got friends all over the country and world at this point. And while I might want to call them from time to time, the nitty gritty is that I end up texting them thanks to the prices of phone calls. But seeing as how text messages cost money too, I figured there had to be a way around paying. I mean, if e-mail is free, why shouldn’t 150 character messages be?! And thankfully, many other websites out there agree with me!
Below I’ve put together some of the best sites on the net that allow you to sent 100% free text messages. I tried most of them out by texting my own phone to see if they worked, how fast it went, etc. Many of these offer world-wide messaging, or at least texts to certain countries abroad. So chances are though that no matter where your friends or families are in the world, you’ll be able to text them using one of the sites below. Many times you’ll need to know the country code of the number you’re trying to message, but for some reason most of these sites don’t provide a list of the freaking codes! Luckily, this is when Wikipedia really comes in handy. Even more annoyingly, sometimes you’ll need to know the cell phone service provider of your friend. If you have no idea what it is, then have a look at Fone Finder and thank me later!
And as always, if you know of a good site I missed, please leave a comment and let us know about it!

Anon Txt - A simple and easy interface to use is provided by AnonTxt.net, which is for US and Canadian numbers only. I noticed this is one of the few free sms sites out there that allow for a “name” field, which is helpful since you don’t have to use any of your limited characters in your message telling your friend who you are. The downsides? It takes about 10-15 minutes for the message to be delivered and the text comes with an ad.
Call Wave - This site lets you download widgets to be used on your Google or Yahoo Homepage, Apple, or Windows Vista machine. It lets you IM anybody in the US and it should work with all major and more minor cellular carriers in the country.
Cardboard Fish SMS - For UK users only, so I haven’t been able to try it out myself, but I’ve read nothing but glowing reviews about it. Looks like there isn’t a user signup or login required, which is nice.
Chikka - You have to download a small program (which is basically just an IM platform, but built on sending text messages to your buddies instead of IMs). Your friends can then respond to you from their phone and it’ll show up on your computer. Works in the Philippines, US, Japan, India, and Thailand. Here in the US, the site claims to be compatible with AT&T, Alltel, Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon.
Crickee - This fairly new service based out of France allows you to message your friends via the Internet and your cell phone for free. Unfortunately, they send the messages via the Internet. So in order for you or your friends to get them, you must have Internet access on your phone, which can be pricey for some people. Granted, this kind of defeats the entire purpose, but if you happen to have cheap or free Internet access on your phone and are out of monthly text messages, this might be a service for you.
Free Text Send - I really like the look of this US-only free texting site. In fact, it’s probably one of the best out of all the sites on this list. The site isn’t really that big, as it’s being run off a smallish server, so the messages take a few minutes to send.
Fun Text Flirts - This site is more of a novelty free sms service, as you can only send a “flirty” message to somebody. Basically, what this does is allow you to anonymously send a message to whoever you have a crush on and then they can reply to your e-mail if they want to. It’s cool, but only if you have a crush and want to send them a sleazy message
Gizmo - Yet another great worldwide free SMS service. I’ve used it extensively to send text messages to my friends here in the states, but I’ve never tried it out in other countries. Pretty much every major country in Europe, Asia, South America, as well as Australia are listed as being available. I highly recommend this one!
Google - Who would have guessed it? You knew Google had to show up somewhere on this list, what with them seemingly in our lives at every turn of the corner now. But this is kinda cool, as they offer free text messages to basically any carrier here in the US.
Joopz - Ok, this site is awesome. In fact, I think it’s my favorite on this list! You have to create a free account, but after you do so, it’s nothing but awesome features from there. To start with, the website is actually nice to look at and doesn’t blind you with flashy ads, which is much appreciated by people like myself. But beyond that, here are some of the great features. For starters, you can text message anybody in the world (and I’ve tried it out!) BUT, it doesn’t just stop there. Your friend can reply to the text message and you will be able to read it via your Joopz.com account. Then you can reply again, etc. Also, Joopz keeps a log for you to read through of all the messages you’ve sent out. Pretty dang nifty, huh? The only downside is that after a month, you’re downgraded to the “basic” package, which limits you to 50 free text messages a month.
Kill Some Time - Finally, a website dedicated to just US numbers! The good thing is that you don’t have to sign up for any accounts. In fact, the only downside to Kill Some Time’s free text message service is that you have to know what cell company your friends are using. But since I just linked you to a site that should help you out with that, you shouldn’t have any problems!
Send SMS Now - Even though you have to sign up for a free account for this one, this is actually a pretty good service as well. Not only can you send free text messages worldwide, but since you have a free account, your friends can text back to your message and you’ll get it on the computer. The only downside is what countries this works in. They have a large list, which is good, but most of the countries are of the likes of Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Yet no Britain, Australia, or France? Eh, whatever, I’m just happy I can now prank text message people in rural Kenya!
SMS 4 Mobile - A North America-only site that I’d only use as a last resort, simply because the free text messages take around 10-15 minutes to be delivered.
SMS Everywhere - Another great US-only site that will send free text messages without any registration. One thing I noticed about this site is that the texts go through SUPER fast, usually within seconds.
Text 4 Free - While this site requests that you know the cell service provider of the number you’re texting, I can overlook that small annoyance. Why? Because not only can you text people in the states for free, but there are literally dozens of places worldwide you can text AND you don’t have to sign up for a free account. Not too shabby if you ask me!
Text For Free - Not to be confused with the site above, Text For Free.net offers almost the exact same features as Text4Free.net with only a few small exceptions. The range of places you can send free text messages is a bit smaller with this site, but the tradeoff comes in the form of a small widget that you can place on your Myspace profile or website which lets your friends text you for free!
Text Me Later - You have to create a free account with this site, which can take up to 5 minutes since you have to wait on two text messages to come in, but it’s more than worth it. With Text Me Later, you can schedule free text messages for yourself or any of your friends in the future. This is perfect for making sure you remind yourself to do something or maybe reminding your friends to meet you at the bar. In fact, I used this a few months ago to remind my buddy to pick me up from the airport. When I got into the car, he mentioned that had I not sent that message, I would have been standing around waiting on him for a few hours
Text Pet - Yet another fantastic site that lets you send worldwide free sms as long as you know the cell provider. What makes this site even better, IMHO, is the clean and nice layout. No flashing ads or annoying messages all over the place. Just a box for you to send your free text message from and that’s it.
Text Your Buddy - Like the text4free site above, Text Your Buddy.com can message your friends worldwide as long as you know the service provider. I did notice that the messages were a bit slow in coming through, but you can’t really complain since it’s free.
The Txt - Again, another simple user interface site that let’s you send free text messages anywhere in the US. Texts come pretty fast and no registration is required.
Txt Drop - Txtdrop.com is awesome, in that not only can you send free text messages to anybody in the US, but you can also download widgets for Windows and Mac computers which enable you to send free text messages straight from your desktop!
Yahoo Messenger India - India is a booming market and Yahoo is doing its best to try and snag as much of it as possible. Therefore, their Indian version of Yahoo Messenger offers an awesome array of countries that you can text for absolutely free. For no cost whatsoever, you can message people in Argentina (Telecom Personal), Australia (Vodafone, Telstra, Orange), Bolivia (Entel Movil), Canada (Rogers), Hong Kong (Hutchison), Indonasia (Telkomsel, Excelcom), Kuwait (Wataniya), Malaysia (Tmtouch, Maxis), Philippines (Smart, Globe Telecom), Singapore (M1, Starhub), Thailand (Dtac, AIS Thailand), and the United States (AT&T, Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile). The program itself is in English and it’s no different than the one you’d download from the English version of Yahoo, other than the fact that with this one you can send a ton of free text messages around the globe!
So there you have it! Those are some of the best free text messaging websites I found on the net. No matter where you or your friends are in the world, hopefully you’ll be able to stay in touch with nothing more than a couple of cell phones and a few of the websites from this list.

A text message, usually called an SMS (small messaging service), is used to send small message from one mobile phone to other. By using this service, one can send and receive text messages to and from other people all around the world. Text message is usually a lot cheaper than a call but it delivers the message of the sender. There are times when one prefers to send a text message rather than calling to deliver the message. Text messaging is the most easy, convenient and cost effective way to communicate with others using a mobile phone. One can write a sms using the keypad of his mobile phone and send it by entering the recipient’s number in the mobile phone. When a sms is received, the mobile phone alerts the user either by ringing some bell or by vibrating or both. The process of sending and receiving sms is very simple. A sms is received instantly after it is sent, which is very convenient.

Sending a Text Message

Sending a text message is quite a simple thing to do, though it can be a little bit tricky for the beginners because of the keypad of the mobile phones. To write a text message, you will have to follow a few steps which are as follows:

•First of all you need to press the menu button of your mobile phone which is present in approximately all the modern mobile phones.

•In the main menu, you will have to scroll and find the sub-menu of messaging.

•Under the messaging menu, write message is usually the first option. Choose that option.

•Another menu will be shown next in which you will have to choose the message type of your message. Usually there are three options: Text Message, Multimedia Message and Email Message. Choose the first option: Text Message.

•Now a blank place will be shown with a cursor blinking in the top left corner of it. You can write your message in that blank field with the help of your mobile phone’s keypad. English letters are printed on the keypad to write the text messages along with the numerical digits.

•Since the number of the keys on a cell phone’s keypad is less than the total characters in English language, more than one letter are printed on each key. Therefore you may have to press a key more than once to enter a desired character in your messaging field. For example, if you want to enter ‘c’, you will have to press the ‘2’ key three times.

•When you are done composing your message press send message, you’ll be prompted to enter the recipient’s phone number. Enter the number and press send.

•Your message is sent.

Receiving a Text Message

Receiving a text message (SMS) is even simpler than sending one. When a message is received in your mobile device, it alerts you by setting out a beep or tone. All you have to do after that is to hit the read button to read that message. The message contains the name or number of the sender and the original message received. Additional details like time and date of receipt of message can also be viewed by selecting details in the message menu.

About the Author:
Syed Rizvi the Webmaster ofSurgical Supply | Surgical Instrument Manufacturer Mobile Phone Wholesale Suppliers Directory
Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4106189511264532755.post-49334205094596742742007-12-10T02:52:00.000-08:002007-12-23T16:35:52.373-08:00Free SMS, the revolution in Mobile Permission Marketing

Communication plays a vital role in Marketing. Till today we have seen newspapers, magazines, television, radio, hording, road shows and Internet as major marketing communication tools. In addition the wireless communication has given new gift to the advertising the Mobile Marketing.

At 2006 the people spend less time in front of TV and the advertisers are looking for new screens to get to their target public. Everybody has a mobile phone in the pocket, using this new technology to send interesting, useful and targeted content to an individual’s personal mobile phone is the most powerful form of direct marketing available.
The marketing mobile has the advantage of:

Short lead times and immediacy respond
Cost effective personalised communication
Ongoing 1 to 1 relationships
Automated data capture and compliance
Direct revenue and uplift opportunities

The most popular application in mobile phone are the SMS. 83% of people with cellular send and received any SMS each day, 94% of SMS are ‘read’ by the receptor, which helps explain the high levels of response and brand impact.
The best performing campaigns, the study reveals outstanding results as follows: 46% response (of any type), 27% Reply to a message, 19% visit a web site, 15% Visit a store. The average campaign delivers 15% response (of any type), which is more than twice the average other industry reports have given for direct mail (sources: Gartner, DMIS).
The wireless carriers say the risk of losing customers is a strong incentive to keep down the marketing noise. It is illegal for carriers to sell phone numbers to telemarketers. By law, carriers are not allowed to divulge information on a subscriber's location unless that individual gives permission.

One idea being floated by carriers and advertisers is to offer consumers incentives if they agree to receive ads in theirs mobile phones. Some websites, like www.SMSGratis.es, allow you to send free SMS, since the advertisers can ads targeting and relevance advertiser in the SMS that the people send to the family or friends.
Send free SMS from Internet is quicker to type the messages using a keyboard than it is to tap away at a tiny keypad, even with predictive texting, typing a text on your cellphone takes too long. Many SMS gateway providers offer a simple conversion which allow you to send through an email to their servers which in turn spits out an SMS message and delivers it to the various recipients.

In most cases one will first need to setup an account an SMS gateway provider and then rehash your email into the correct format such that the server can understand what it must do with each email. Generally speaking, most providers will offer some messages with which to test this service. Once these have run out you will need purchase more messages with them.

One of the world’s largest gateway providers, Clickatell, offers a fairly simple method of achieving this which I will outline below:

Step 1.
Logon to their site www.clickatell.com and find the “sms gateway” tab. Register for an SMTP (Email to SMS) API account. Once having done this you will be issued with what is called an API_ID. In order to convert your emails to SMS you will need the following bits of information:

1.Username (this you select when registering)
2.Password (this you select when registering)
3. API_ID (this gets issued to upon completion of registration)
4. The mobile number/s you would like to send the message to in international format e.g. a UK number would look like this: 448311234567
5. The message text itself e.g. “Meet at pub in 5 minutes”

Step 2.
Open your Email client (e.g. Microsoft Outlook), and open a new email. Make sure the email is in plain text format and not html. Next, fill in the following details:
1.In the email address field type in the address sms@messaging.clickatell.com (this is the address of the Clickatell server where the message will be converted)

2.Type in your account and message details in the body of the email laid out exactly as follows:

user:xxxxx
password:xxxxx
api_id:xxxxx
to:448311234567
text:Meet at pub in 5 minutes

3.Send the email and the message will automatically be sent as an SMS.

It should be noted that it may cost more or less for certain messages since some network operators charge more to send messages to their network than others.

Joe Macon writes about a variety of technology topics, with a focus on SMS technology. They make our life easier with their countless advantages, one of which is the highly effective SMS or Short Messaging Service. SMS is the general term for the technology which provides people with the ability to send and receive text messages via mobile phones.

With recent technological advancements, free international sms messages can now be sent on a global level anywhere in the world through many online service providers. And the best part is that you don’t even need a mobile phone if you have a computer. You simply register with the desired information on any of the sites that offer free SMS service and just follow the simple instructions. There is a space for the mobile number of the recipient, as well as space for the message. It depends on the free sms provider, but usually, the maximum number of words allowed is generally fixed at 137 characters. However, some India sms providers allow even more than this. SMS messages can include words, numbers or any alphanumeric combination. Also, binary format is usually supported.

Some free sms service providers offer many additional services to senders, such as delivery confirmations or replies. This way, you'll be able to track your sent messages and see when it gets received. Also, if you opt for replies, the recipients can even reply back to you. This two-way sms communication without spending a dime is possible only through a free SMS service provider on the Internet.

Considering the fact that you usually have to pay to send SMS, sending free, international SMS through online sms service providers is a great, quick way to communicate with friends and family. For example, In the United Kingdom, messages cost £0.10, and with people sending tens of messages each and every day, costs can mount up.

Also, writing a text message using your cell phone just takes too long compared to using your keyboard. Even on the most modern mobile phones with advanced predictive text messaging, it can be very difficult and time-consuming to write a message. Just think how quick it is to type a message on your computer keyboard, it is much quicker than using your mobile phone.

Being free, some messaging services are reliable, some do not work at all, and others are very slow. Also, many services will add and advert to the bottom of your message, although this does not cause much problem, for, it does reduce the number of allowed characters.

Be very careful when registering for a free SMS service. Not all are as free as they claim to be, some send chargeable sms messages to your phone, making the service rather expensive.

Milos Pesic is a successful webmaster who runs a highly popular Free SMS text messaging web site. Why would anybody want to complicate it by using a Computer?

Well there are several reasons, why somebody would be interested in using a Computer to send an SMS, firstly it’s Free! Everybody loves something that’s Free. Normally to send a Text Message it costs 10 cents, which may not seem like much money, but it really mounts up!

Everybody loves a Freebie - it used to be possible to get Free Text Messages using your Mobile Phone. Almost all of the Services will add some form of Advert to the bottom of your Message, although this may not cause much of a problem it does reduce the number of characters that you can send.

Be very careful when you are signing up to SMS Services, not all are Free, some send chargeable Text Messages to your Phone, which makes the Service very expensive.

Why would you want to send SMS from your Computer ?

* It’s free to send Texts Worldwide, no International Rates.
* It’s fast to enter the Text Message with your Computer Keyboard.
* It’s Free!.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Try it today, use a Free Online Text Messaging Service and see how they compare. In fact some of us would be messaging more than making/receiving calls. The popularity of text messaging could stem from a number of factors. One would be of course be the cost factor. Texts are a lot cheaper than calls. The other is the privacy factor. You could send a text message without letting others know, but the same is not applicable for calls.

What if i tell you, you could now send free text messages by utilizing free text messaging services. You could send a free text by utilizing PC to Mobile SMS services. Yes, you could send as many text messages as you want. Another great advantage of using PC to mobile SMS services is that you could send texts free internationally. It would not cost you a pence to send Text messages anywhere in the world. And even if you need to pay for the Online service, the charge would be a lot less than the conventional text services( Mobile to Mobile Texts)

And in case you have still not joined the Text brigade, allow us to invite you. Believe us, once you start sending texts, you would realize they are a much better option.

The use of SMS technology is rampant internationally. Its a favourite all across and not just here in the UK.

Finally i would like to finish by reiterating the importance and cost effectiveness of PC to Mobile text services. As technology improves so do the products/services available to us humans. I do not know whether “Technically” speaking PC to Mobile services are advanced than mobile to mobile services, what i know though is they are convenient and do not need to own a mobile to use them. And that's why i advocate them in this article. And for those who ardently support the Mobile to Mobile SMS technology, let me finish by stating both have their own advantages.

Fletcher Mak is an author, write various articles on different themes to expand information, because articles is a good way to send their information to needy people easily. Often far cheaper than a comparable mobile phone call on most mobile phone networks the SMS service offers a convenient and fast alternative to making a phone call.

Depending on which Mobile Phone (or cell phone) network you use, the cost of sending a SMS Text Message can vary from being included free in your monthly contract, to a few cents per message.

In the UK text messages can cost as much as 12p per text. Like the U.S some monthly contract phone deals can include text messages as part of the contract, others will charge a pro-rata amount depending on the network and the monthly line rental.

The most popular users of Mobile Phones and Text Messaging are teenagers, who account for a large precentage of mobile phone users and this age group alone, send millions of text messages everyday to all mobile phone networks, all over the world.

Since most Teenagers are not old enough to sign binding contracts with Mobile Phone Networks and Mobile Phone retailers, they often prefer to use Pay As You Go networks (PAYG), this system is also the method of choice for parents, who see PAYG as a method to monitoring their childrens' mobile phone usage, and so pre-paying for the phones usage as they use it, avoids the shock of an unexpected large mobile phone bill!.

Very few PAYG networks include the use of SMS Text Messaging for free, and so these become chargeable. Since this age group are also the senders of the most text messages, it's a ctach 22 situation with most of the mobile phone credit getting used up in text messages to friends!.

A viable alternative is to send free text messages using the internet, thus keeping the cost of sending text messages to the minimum and allowing more of the Mobile Phone Credit to be used for making calls.

Some Free Text Providers require the user to register to use their service, and this often concerns internet users that their information may be used for marketing purposes, or forwarded to third parties. Whilst most Free Text providers have a strict no spam privacy policy and will not share this information, there are always a few who will casually add their users onto mailing lists, and so it is wise to read privacy policies before registering with any website.

Some free text providers also include a mobile phone network comparator. This allows the user to search for the best current mobile phone network deal based on their existing monthly call charges and text message usage. This system is ideal to finding out how to save money on their current mobile phone tariff.

This article may be used on blogs, forums and websites provided the article is not modified and the credit below is included along with the active website link.

Send international SMS text messages for Free, without registering using the free sms text portal at http://www.blog-community.net/mobile_phone

The site also includes a Free UK mobile phone network comparison checker which is updated in real time and allows you to search for the best mobile phone tariff based on your existing monthly usage.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Chris_Pointon

Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4106189511264532755.post-29999063198615707192007-10-09T19:03:00.000-07:002007-12-23T16:41:57.715-08:00Send Free SMS Text Messages Online

The way we communicate with each other keeps changing. Once, we relied on letters, telephones and fax machines but now we prefer speedier and sometimes less intrusive forms of communication like email or instant messenger. Even more popular, however, and a phenomenon of communication experienced worldwide, is sending SMS text messages to each other via cellphones (also known as mobile phones or cellular phones).

So, what is SMS?

Short Message Service (SMS) is the general name for the technology which enables people to send and receive text messages via cellphones (or mobile phones).

The GSM digital mobile phone standard (popular in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and some parts of North America) state that: "Messages can be up to 160 characters of text in length". CDMA networks allow greater message size and operate in North & South America, Asia (China, India, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, etc).

(In actual fact, most modern cellphones using the GSM standard send messages larger than 160 characters, but they do so by sending multiple messages of 160 characters. That means that when you send a message of 330 characters in length, you have actually sent two messages of 160 characters and one message of 10 characters.)

SMS messages can comprise of words, numbers or an alphanumeric combination; binary format is even supported.

Technically speaking, SMS is a store and forward service. This means that messages are not sent directly from sender to recipient, but always via an SMS center instead. You have a limited time to download or receive your messages (this happens automatically when you switch your cellphone on), otherwise the messages are removed from the SMS center concerned.

Message delivery (or failure) can be confirmed, too.

Note: this is a limited definition of sms. A fuller explanation can be found at
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texting

How Can You Send SMS Text Messages For Free?

Sending SMS is a great, quick way to communicate with friends and family. Unlike sending email, though, sending SMS messages is often not free. In the United Kingdom, for example, messages often cost £0.10 per message. And with people sending tens or hundreds of messages each day, costs can mount up.

So mobile phone companies design payment plans that allow you to send a certain number of text messages free per month. Or, if you pay enough of a monthly fee (or top-up your pay-as-you-go phone often enough) you may even be allowed to send an unlimited number of sms messages for free.

Still, this is a costly way to send 'free sms'.

A much better way is to use so-called 'free sms sites'.

Yes, there are many, many websites that allow you to send free SMS text messages online. Simply type in your message at such a website, then the cellphone number you wish to send a text message to, and click the send button. Sometimes the messages are delivered immediately, or within the space of an hour or so. Also, quite often there is no need to register to use the free sms service.

Example free sms sites include sms.ac, cbfsms.com and Fonetastic, and you can now find free sms on myspace.com too.

Like anything else on the web, some free SMS sites work better than others. For example:

* Some open for business one week and are closed the next, unable to recover their costs of delivering thousands of sms text messages. (There is always a cost associated with sending sms text messages online for the sms site concerned.)

* Some free sms sites work in one country but not another.

* And, most worryingly, some free SMS sites are simply not free -- either it costs the person to send the sms messages, or it costs someone to receive them.

Basically, a lot of free sms text messaging sites start out free, then either stop working or start to charge.

That's why a visit to a free SMS directory, where sites are reviewed or commented on, is recommended. For example, there are more than 150 free text messaging sites currently listed at TextMeFree.com .

Is Sending Free SMS Really Safe?

Yes. Usually.

It should be safe to send free text messages using a text messaging site, but many people have been caught out by services that sneakily get you to first join a subscription service, that often costs several dollars per week. It can be quite difficult to unsubscribe from such services, too.

Generally speaking free SMS sites profit from the advertising on their websites or in the actual text messages being sent; these sites don't normally abuse their relationship with the people doing the SMS texting. It's also generally true that text messages get sent quickly and people do not receive so-called SMS spam on their cellphone or mobile phone afterwards.

Again, a good free SMS directory will provide enough information about a free sms service or site for you to be able to decide for yourself.

Sending SMS text messages to your friends and family is quick, easy and fun. But it doesn't have to cost you anything, if you find and use a free SMS text messaging site that lets you send text messages to the country where they live. Happy texting.

Steve M Nash is the owner of TextMeFree.com, a directory of free sms text messaging sites. In fact, most amongst us prefer to send SMS to particular destination than to make calls because the former is much cheaper than the latter. With the emergence of consumerism, there have emerged some of the better and convenient options like sending free SMS through Internet that have proved to be much more lucrative and reliable.

There are various websites that provide the facility of sending SMS through the mobile phones via Internet. These websites do not charge any fees for this service. All you are supposed to do is to get yourself registered with these websites and you can send messages to anyone on their mobile phone and could easily chat via this medium. There are also some Internet messengers which provide the same facility to the user. They also allow receiving and sending e-mails through the Internet.

The method of sending text messages via Internet is not a new method but it has not been used for business since a long time. Lately, we have seen an upsurge in the manner in which these websites are growing in the market. And if you are thinking as to how on earth are they working without charging anything and solely for free, then the answer is through advertisements. The main source of income for these websites is provided through the advertisers who give a back link of their homepage to the user and thus they help the business to thrive in this way.

Also, free SMS could be availed by the many mobile phone service providers by availing one of the contract mobile phone deals that are available in the market. The providers usually go gaga over such offers and you can easily avail this benefit by signing a contract deal with one of the service providers that could be easily found in the market.

Thus, availing free SMS is the trend of the times and you can enjoy these services and make your life easier and convenient.

xpert4u provide mobile phones services visit xpert4u to free sms

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jayson_Pablo

Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4106189511264532755.post-28415820057497652102007-10-03T21:01:00.000-07:002007-12-23T16:42:47.298-08:00Free SMS Text Messaging Sites - Why Send Free SMS Messages, Online?

Why would anyone want to send free sms text messages via a website? What's wrong with tap, tap, tapping out your message on your mobile phone (or cell phone), and simply pressing send when you've finished? Even with predictive texting (or predoctive tixting, as I like to call it!) typing a text on your cellphone takes too long.

You can also queue your messages and send them later.

You can send messages to mobile phone users wherever they live in the world.

You can fool your friends and send them an anonymous text message online. (Online sms messages can nearly always be traced, though, so I don't recommend that you send abusive messages - that, and it's not nice, is it!)

Again, free sms is free. Texting can often cost you 12p or 10p or 10c when you use your cell phone. And if you have a free texting plan, does it really cover unlimited texts to all parts of the world?

You can receive messages on your cellphone or on your computer, when you use a free sms text messaging service.

You can use more than one free sms service (especially if you live in UK or USA) and almost never run out of free sms credits.

Okay, what's wrong with sending free sms via a website? There has to be some downsides, surely. After all, you don't get anything for free these days. (My, you're a suspicious type!)

Well, not all free sms services are fast. Not all services let you receive messages on your cellphone (or your PC). And not all free text messaging sites work.

And some free sms services are not even free, they just claim to be. Sometimes people get charged for receiving a message, and sometimes people are charged for sending them, via sneaky subscription charges buried away in tiny terms and conditions.

However, most free sms sites that have been around a while "do what it says on the tin"; i.e. they offer fast, easy-to-type free sms texting. And as such these sites are some of the net's best-loved freebies.

And even the sms sites that charge you, like ipipi, allow you to send sms quickly to almost anywhere in the world at a fraction of the cost of sending texts from your mobile or cell phone.

So why use free sms text messaging sites?

Well, er, it's free.

It's quicker: think typing rather than fumbling with your cellphone keypad.

It's worldwide: think of all your friends who don't live in the same country as you.

Above all, think free sms is free.

Steve M Nash is owner of TextMeFree.com the free sms text messaging directory with more than 150 free sms sites listed and reviewed. Like in most other verticals, SMSes too are sent best through an online service provider that lets you send messages anywhere in the world free of cost. Network providers in UK charge a fortune when it comes to international SMSes and that’s where these online service providers score over the rest. Who would want to spend when the service is available free of cost at another medium?
You do not even require a mobile phone if you have a computer by your side. Log on to any of the sites that offer free SMS service and follow the written instructions. It’s extremely simple in fact. There will be a space for the mobile number of the recipient, as well as space for a message. The maximum word limit is generally fixed at 137 characters, but many services even more than this.
Most of these free SMS service providers do not require you to sign up or do not have a much comprehensive privacy policy. This is of benefit to the user and speeds up the entire process.
Some websites are pretty advanced in this field and even offer a plethora of additional services to the senders. You can opt for delivery confirmations and you'll be able to track your message and see when it gets received. Also, opt for replies, and the person you are messaging can even reply back to you. This type of two-way communication without spending a penny is only possible through a free SMS service provider on the World Wide Web.

Jayson Pablo writes for expert4u to provide the information on send online SMS. He flashed his cell phone.

His baseball ticket had been sent via text message a few days earlier to his Motorola KRZR.

"I thought it was really cool," said Gorham, a native of Greenville, N.C., who was visiting Dallas for job training. "What it says is that text messaging has become mainstream. It's not some kid technology just for chatting."

Indeed, the text-messaging craze has successfully graduated from just another technology toy to a crucial communication tool firmly woven into our lives.

Consumers in Europe are way ahead of Americans in using text messaging, mainly because there's much better access to public transportation. But the U.S. market for text messaging seems to have fully blossomed, said Michael Gartenberg, an analyst at JupiterResearch in New York.

It may come as no surprise that the younger the cell phone user, the more popular text messaging becomes. In fact, 73 percent of teenagers who use cell phones are texting.

But older consumers are starting to embrace the text message.

And that's affecting how sales reps at Verizon Wireless and other cell phone stores pitch their products.

Lea Hilton, a data-solutions manager for Verizon, noticed the trend recently at a store in South Texas, where "winter Texans" descend from the North to temporarily escape the cold during their retirement years.

"The sales reps were at first hesitant to even talk about data features because these guys were just wanting traditional voice phones," Hilton said. "Some of the reps realized, 'I may not want to fight the battle of teaching them how to send a message, but I do want to show them how to receive a message.' They were teaching the customer how to open up picture messages sent from family members back home in Ohio."

There are plenty of other ways adults are getting in on the action.

American Airlines is testing the idea of letting customers text-message complaints to the airline.

Travelocity and other travel sites alert travelers to flight changes with a text message.

Gorham gets his list of appointments for the day sent automatically by text message to his phone at 6 a.m. every day.

AT&T sponsored the cell phone voting for American Idol, which resulted in 64.5 million text messages sent last year.

When the pop singer Fergie performed a private concert at the Verizon Wireless store in Southlake, Texas, the company sent tickets to its customers' cell phones. Like Gorham at the ballpark, the Verizon customers had to show their phone to get in.

Verizon is hoping to make it easier for more consumers to text in bulk. It launched a site called vtext.com that lets Verizon customers send multiple text messages to other Verizon customers at once.

For example, a company could easily get a message out to all of its electricians in the field much easier than paging everyone and certainly much faster than e-mailing them because the workers likely wouldn't have BlackBerry phones.

New unlimited-texting plans from Verizon and other carriers have eliminated a major hurdle to text messaging, Gartenberg said.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4106189511264532755.post-40179727322086719472007-07-22T05:50:00.000-07:002007-12-23T16:43:43.933-08:00TxtDrop Releases The First Free Text Messaging App For The iPhone

TxtDrop.com announced today it has launched the first free text messaging app specifically designed for Apple iPhone users.

/24-7PressRelease/ - NEW YORK, NY, July 17, 2007 -- Today TxtDrop.com, the easiest way to send free text messages from the web, is proudly launching the first free text messaging web application for iPhone users.
